CoBRAs captured top bounty, alive, in anti-Naxal ops

In a major breakthrough the CoBRA Battalion commandos of the CRPF in a joint operations with local police units arrested top Maoist anti-Naxal identified as Misir Besra who carried a cash bounty of Rs One crore, dead or alive.

CoBRAs captured him alive.

Location was Dhanbad-Giridh border in Jharkhand.

Two other smaller Naxal-Maoists were also captured alive identified as  as Regional Committee Member Mehnat alias Mochhu, carrying a reward of 15 lakh rupees and Maoist cadre Gaurav.

Some local villagers were also apprehended during the joint operation who apparently were active supporters of local handlers.

According to a sources, the successful operation was carried out by the CoBRA, CRPF and Jharkhand Police based on specific intelligence inputs from two other units.
