DefenceTimes® is founded by Vineet Dikshit.

He is based in New Delhi, India, where he began his journalism career in January 1984. After working in print for 10 years, he transitioned to television journalism as early as January 1995.

The organisations he has worked for include The Hindustan Times, Patriot, The Indian Express, The Pioneer, TVI, Jain TV, Sahara TV, Zee News, Times Now, and Rajya Sabha TV.

During the 2010 XIX Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, he served as Deputy Director General (Communications), specifically in charge of media relations. He subsequently founded NEWSGATE in 2019, with its digital launch taking place on 27 January 2020.

He is best known for producing and anchoring the landmark National Security Series during his tenure at Rajya Sabha TV (RSTV), which focused on India’s military and paramilitary forces.

India’s national broadcaster, Doordarshan aired several episodes of this popular series on its 24-hour English news channel, DD India.
